We chose to work on the marginalized region of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=2&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=0ahUKEwicte6x5vvTAhWCXhoKHcC2AvEQFggoMAE&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Ffr.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FEttadhamen-Mnihla&amp;usg=AFQjCNE0u1zslxtnSMBuqMLKuCNd9cS61A&amp;sig2=_NrNBUcwfpdbUJlefez7vQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Cit\u00e9 Tadhamon<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span> known for its high rate of unemployment, crime and poverty; and also for its low participation in 2011 elections.<\/p>\n<p>When we talk about deprived areas whose residents suffer from marginalization and difficult economic and social conditions, we often think of the inner regions of Tunisia (Gasserine, Gafsa, Sidi Bouzid&#8230; etc.). And we often forget other geographic areas around the capital which are the site of an important marginalization and serious social and economic problems. It is this reason that prompted our organization to aim through its project at <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=2&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=0ahUKEwicte6x5vvTAhWCXhoKHcC2AvEQFggoMAE&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Ffr.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FEttadhamen-Mnihla&amp;usg=AFQjCNE0u1zslxtnSMBuqMLKuCNd9cS61A&amp;sig2=_NrNBUcwfpdbUJlefez7vQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Cit\u00e9 Ettadhamen<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChabebConstitutionForum\/?ref=page_internal&amp;hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The project <\/a><\/strong><\/span>participants have been recruited through a <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1539 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/participantes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"388\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/participantes.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/participantes-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/>thorough selection processes that included a street survey and four <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Jasminefoundation.org\/photos\/a.405940269548133.1073741837.221656921309803\/405943729547787\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>animated debate sessions in public caf\u00e9s<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. All project activities have been planned and delivered by a small team of young graduate s also selected from the target region. The objectives that we set out for this project were as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Motivating 90 graduates unemployed aged 24-35 years, living in the city Ettadhamen towards a more positive social and political participation.<\/li>\n<li>Engage the participants in the public issues and political questions: Linking vocational integration and social participation and positive policy aid to vocational integration as a means of social and political integration.<\/li>\n<li>To simplify the content of the new Tunisian constitution by using non-formal education methods applied in a participatory training<\/li>\n<li>Promote the initiative and autonomy of young people to become actors of their lives.<\/li>\n<li>Get young people through an informal approach to better assimilate the fundamentals of the democratic governance and active citizenship at and reflecting the same time on their added value in their daily lives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1540 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/team.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/team.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/team-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/team-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/>The results showed a high participation rate in the activities, low drop-outs and an observable enthusiasm in all project activities. I think that these young people have a promising future especially when they find a mentoring and counselling that takes them out of negative thinking which I think is our role as civil society and youth engagement groups. What young are lacking is information on citizenship and the practicing the culture of dialogue which we were able to pass through exercises and activities. We also wanted this youth to become a component in the new democratic society we are building in Tunisia and pass c what the concepts and practices they learned here to their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ichrak Rhouma (Participant) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The main thing that attracted my attention is the extent <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1529 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jasminefoundation.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/ichrak.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"174\" height=\"164\" \/>of the knowledge I cumulated about the Constitution and to the atmosphere within the group which encouraged us to engage in the dialogue sessions, which we need to practice more. I also want to highlight the distinctive ambience within the forum which make youth excited and engaged all the time because it mixes fun and purposeful playing with learning. I really wish to participate more in this project and get further training.
